Remarks & Notes
The W&W 102 train passes my scrap yard, Hub Scrap in Winchester, VA. I largely moved my operation from Hagerstown, MD to this site in 2019. It had been the Zuckerman Company's site since the mid-1960's and railroad shipper since the PRR days. Zuckerman closed in 2015-2016 and the W&W lost a customer for a period. As evident from the photo, we have resumed rail service and become a steady customer for the W&W. If you look closely you can see scrap from several CSX derailments- notably the blue covered hopper debris and wheels from the Hyattsville derailment and the traction motors from one of the AC4400's destroyed at the Sandstone, WV derailment.
