For my 475th photo added, only a shot of Norfolk & Western 475 would do. So, I dug through my photo box and found this lost gem pan of 475 leading a train out of Abingdon, Virginia with the Iron Mountains in the background in the late 1940s. Fast forward over a half century, and the crew strikes classic poses as they approach the Red Caboose Motel and the end of the run on the Strasburg Rail Road.
Pace and pan shots of trains from on the ground or in the air. If you're not in the locomotive cab or on-board the train, it's the next best thing to being there.
