A young lady risks life, limb and poodle as domed roof tram No 258, built in c1936, turns from Commercial Street into Fitzalan Square on a service from Vulcan Road to the City. When this photo was taken Sheffield trams had only 10 weeks left before the closure of this once excellent system. To-day the Sheffield super tram comes up Commercial Street but continues straight on into the High Street.
