Rain continues to fall upon festively-decorated downtown Portland on the evening of New Year's Day as patrons prepare to board a Hillsboro-bound train at Mall/SW 5th Avenue Station. Following its Blue Line sister a couple blocks to the east is a westbound Red Line train, its headlights casting a block-long shadow from the pedestrian crossing the street. (Handheld at ISO 1600, 1/80s, f/4.0)
