Remarks & Notes
The end is near for southbound SCL Train No. 85, The "Everglades." At the stroke of midnight, SCL passenger trains would fall under Amtrak and the "Everglades" was not invited to the party. On its final day of operation two E8As lead what appears to be a healthy train south at Petersburg, VA. The consist might look healthy, but in actuality most of the train was a move of deadhead passenger cars.
