The Pennsy built flyovers in several places to enable freights to cross into the center tracks of the Northeast Corridor without blocking the outside tracks. One such place is Lane tower, where the freight line diverged from the main line in Newark, NJ. Here, two GG1's, 4925 and 4913, lead a train that was either the Broadway Limited or the Silver Star over the freight tracks. A freight was actually crossing underneath at this time and will be seen in the next photograph I post.
