Copper Basin Railway #402 leads a sulfuric acid train downgrade from the ASARCO smelter. The train is about to enter the Copper Basin mainline at Hayden. The smelter, the reason for this shortline's existence, creates the acid as a byproduct of copper production. This acid is needed for the mining of copper ore, so it is transported to the mine via this tank train.
