Remarks & Notes
Behind closed doors!

What you see here is a "sneak peek" of Black River and Western's 2-8-0 backdated to her former glory days at the Great Western for an upcoming Lerro Productions charter. The engine received a coat of aluminum paint on the smoke box, white running boards, new logos and painted tires. She'll make her public debut (though with BR&W lettering) on May 26th and 27th.

Serving small industries in Hunterdon County for 50 years, the Black River and Western serves as an active line and a window to the past of New Jersey with rural farms and small creeks.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
