Merry Christmas from Maine!. A WW&F Brakeman mans the platform of Caboose 320 as his train makes a station stop during the museum's annual Victorian Christmas Event. Held on the Saturday before Christmas, this event features free train rides, hot drinks and goodies, horse-drawn sleigh rides and of course, Santa Claus holding court all day in Alna Center. This year's event featured a foot and a half of recently-fallen snow that required a couple of plow extras to clear. On top of that, an ice storm warning threatened to make conditions downright nasty for patrons. Fortunately, the freezing rain never materialized and the 40 or so museum volunteers hosted over 800 riders from all over the northeast (and a few Canadians!) during the 6 hours of scheduled operations.
