This photo is from my slide collection . This picture was taken by my late brother Mark Clark. It might look familiar to some of you because my brother was with Everett Young who had almost the same shot published in the book L&N in the Appalachians by Ron Flanary. The coal train is bound for St. Paul. The N&W Clinch Valley line was used by the L&N for access to the Clinchfield at St. Paul after 1973.
