Remarks & Notes
Due to the closure of the electrified line between Denmark and Germany via Flensburg for 4 weeks freight trains were instead being diverted by the diesel route via Tonder. Former DSB MZ locos worked trains between Frederica and Esbjerg in Denmark, with German class 232/233 'Ludmillas' working south into Germany. The yard lights at Esbjerg pierce the approaching night as 233 662 is seen moments after arriving with a diverted freight from Germany. The locomotive would leave the train here allowing an MZ to drop onto the other end before continuing through Denmark.
