A new Amtrak "Cities Sprinter" rolls through the PRR built station in Elizabeth, NJ along the NEC while also passing the historic CNJ station seen in the background. That station, now a restaurant, saw it's last train on August 6, 1978. While it was in service, passengers by way of ferry, had an alternate high speed route via either the CNJ, B&O or the Reading, between New York City, Philadelphia and Washington DC.
