| While not documented or talked about very often, one of the most important jobs a railroad has is track inspection. Making sure the rails are straight and spaced apart correctly is a serious job. The slightest defect in a rail can cause a derailment. Seen here is a Holland Trackstar high rail truck. This vehicle measures all track geometry parameters. |
