Hartwell Railroad has amazed me for 2 years at this point. From the moment I discovered the line, I was hooked! One of my favorite aspects is the pure history the line beholds. The track its self has hugged the ground of rural Georgia for a century, and signage along the line dates back to it's origination. The locomotives that Hartwell uses can shock any railfan no matter who they are. You wont find locomotives or consists like these anywhere else! Hartwell Railroad could truly be an operating museum! In this photo, power is tied down for the night at the Toccoa Wye, ready to be used in the days to come.
