In its early days after the move from Vermont, Steamtown struggled to attract enough visitors to be economically viable, and tried desperately to find its way. One ill-conceived scheme was to brand some of the operating equipment as Lackawanna, no matter how unauthentic it may be. One example was obviously-CP Pacific 2317 in this faux-DL&W scheme.
