When the UP track inspector discovered the washout, there were already at least two westbounds on their Topeka Sub that could've potentially ended up in "the drink." One of these was the 7470 west, which I believe was the ZG4CI.
This afternoon, I stumbled upon it backing up over the Kansas River bridge in Topeka, before pulling west on the Kansas Sub towards Marysville instead. There aren't too many stack trains that find there way up this way, especially with the ArroWedge up front, so this was a neat move to get to photograph. Both of these photographs were taken in Topeka near Menoken Jct. Menoken is where the Kansas Sub to Marysville breaks off from the KP to Denver.
