| The luxurious Venice Simplon-Orient-Express from Calais to Venice on the lowest level of the loops at Wassen, pulled by Re 4/4 # 11164 and 11181, just on the lower Meienreuss bridge. Above is the middle level with the 109 meter long middle Meienreuss bridge on the left and the former linesman hut 23 ds on the right. The height difference is about 100 meter or 330 feet, the time about 3 1/2 minutes and the line length about 5 kilometer. |
