Top Ten of 2016. With the year almost over, here's a look back at my Top 10 favorite shots from 2016. 4. When it was announced that N&W 611 would be pulling an excursion from Spencer to Asheville, NC, a shot on the Southern Loops, near Old Fort, was the obvious target to document the J's first trip over the line in over two decades. After researching and debating about many locations, we decided on shooting at Andrews Geyser, named after Colonel A.B. Andrews, a vice president of the Southern Railway who was instrumental in building this route through the Appalachians from Old Fort to Asheville.
