| "One Last Attempt to Keep the Board Going" A pair of Amtrak Electricians make last attempts to get the Departure Board at New York Pennsylvania Station fully running again during it's final hours of service. Hours before the board was decommissioned, a fuse blew, causing 3 out of 4 sections to shut down. After several failed attempts the board was left with only 1 section working until it was completely shut down at 2224hrs (10:24PM) the same night (1/23/17). As part of a modernization program, large flat screens were installed throughout the Amtrak concourse months before to replace the board. |
