Sandwiching a mock high-speed locomotive acting as a display for the future of California's high-speed rail, SP 2467, a 4-6-2 built for the Southern Pacific in 1921, and SPMW 205, a 1920-built rotary snow plow, offer a true connection between the Southern Pacific and Sacramento at none other than the California State Railroad Museum. SPMW 205 is most notable known for its assistance in reaching the snowbound "City of San Francisco" in January of 1952, at the time SPMW No. 7205 working with cab-forward No. 4245. Seeing an original SP rotary in such close quarters with the last remaining SP cab-forward did, in a sense, just feel right to see.
