The Reading & Northern is investing $2 million at the corner of Bellevue Avenue and Route 61, in Reading, PA. The project, located at what was formerly O'Grady's restaurant, will see 19th century-style buildings, a water tower and the railroad's "other" blue steam locomotive, No. 225 which will be put on display. The 4-6-0, former CP No. 1098, was acquired by the R&N from the estate of George Hart. Service, which began Memorial Day weekend in 2017, will see regularity scheduled passenger service to Jim Thorpe, PA and return. For more information click here.
