Amtrak's venerable "Solari Board", installed in the early 1980's, cycles through train departure and arrival times displayed on rotating flaps. The click-clacking sounds of a forgotten time will soon be a memory, if not already, as Amtrak had announced its intention to replace the board with new LED screens. LED screens should be more reliable, easier to repair and easier to read.
