Remarks & Notes
EMD and Alco motive power haul a manifest up the steep but short grade between Bena and Sandcut. Once the train reaches the latter point, it'll be all downhill all the way into Bakersfield, where this string of power will be cut off. During this period, Santa Fe used GP30s and 35s almost exclusively anywhere north of Bakersfield; six-axle power was turned here and used over Tehachapi and points beyond.
