"Retired M3s at LIC" 2 M3 pairs (LI 9822/ LI 9821) and (LI 9820/ LI 9819) sit on the "River Track" at Wheelspur Facility waiting to be de-trucked, loaded onto flat cars and transported to Frontier Metals in Ohio for scrapping. These pieces of equipment are just a few of many vintage LIRR equipment that will meet the torch in the upcoming months.
