Highball at Willaha. Both of the Grand Canyon Railway's steamers combine to haul 8 heavy, Harriman Commuter Cars south past the siding at Willaha (MP 37.7) on their southbound run back to Williams. The former Lake Superior & Ishpeming Consolidation #29, and Chicago Burlington & Quincy Mikado #4360 led very different careers during their "working" years, but they make a very classy, matching power line-up, dressed in their black, gold and red Grand Canyon Railway livery.
The Grand Canyon Railroad, operating a 64-miles former Santa Fe branch to the eponymous natural wonder, is one of the best tourist railroads in the United States. It operates both steam and diesel locomotives.
