On Call: A conductor takes a call between Hoboken-Bay Street Shuttle runs next to F40PH-2CAT #4119 on a Sunday afternoon. For years, NJ Transit's F40PH-2CAT locomotives have largely been out of public view, making only limited appearances on work trains. However, with NJ Transit short on locomotives and cab cars due to PTC upgrades, unit #4119 was recently returned to revenue service. Here it is seen substituting for a cab car as it leads Montclair-Boonton Line Train 530 towards Hoboken.
