We're in the cab of a 70-year old operating F3A with mostly original equipment, including the Barco speed recorder. No. 663 was built for the Bangor & Aroostook in May, 1948 as their No. 44 and is on loan to Steamtown Nat'l. Historic Site by its owner, the Tri-State Railway Historical Society. The day's occasion was an excursion for the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society.
