The iconic spiral viaduct of Brusio in the "blue hour", with the three "Campascio"-granite figures "Grande Figura Femminile", "Unione Granitica" and "Mater Luce e Trapasso" of the homegrown stone sculptor "Kiki" (Christiano) Paganini, created in 1993. On the viaduct the light traces of a passing train. The Brusio spiral viaduct is part of the Albula Bernina UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. The figures were illuminated with my headlight during the 89 seconds exposure. The snow covered mountains in the background are in Italy, south of the Valtellina, in the Bergamasque (or Bergamo) Alps.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
