Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 566 heads south through CP Maple in the city of Orange, California, on December 20, 2019. CP Maple is where Metrolink’s Olive Sub diverges from their Orange Sub – The Olive Subs tracks can be seen on the right, splitting off at the two switches. Eight-car train 566, with SC-44 2115 up front and another SC-44 (CDTX 2122) on the rear, is heading from Los Angeles to San Diego. (The seagull atop the tall pole has a great view.)
