On a clear, cold morning after a February blizzard, the westbound Zephyr climbs toward the east portal of Tunnel 1 in a frozen winter wonderland. AMTK 130, the Phase I heritage unit, is second up on the train today. February is generally the coldest month of the year in Colorado and this day is no exception as the temperature is only 2°F (-17°C)!
