Wait a minute! You were cancelled 10 years ago!
Although Ontario Northland's "Northlander" which connected Cochrane (and by extension Moosonee) with Toronto was cancelled back in September 2012, Ontario Northland ran a special train south a few days ago to the Niagara Region, but it was not a passenger revenue train. We're still awaiting the promised return of that Premiere Ford! This train was instead a lowly film prop with a Northlander-esque consist with shiny paint from nose to tail for "The Handmaid's Tale" future episode. Never the less, this train garnered a foam-fest on it's southbound journey on a sun-blessed day a few days back. Unfortunately I didn't hear it passing until it was right upon our small community of Allensville, and although I gave chase to that one I couldn't catch it. Instead I chased this return move on this gloriously bland day (Hey, you take what you can get), which I just barely got ahead of by staying on the highway up to Huntsville, perhaps bending a law or two a wee bit in the process. ;)
