Eureka on the point. Eureka & Palisade #4, a beautiful, 1875 Baldwin, 4-4-0 narrow gauge wood-burner, rounds the curve at the north end of the Nevada State Railroad Museum's dual-gauge loop in Carson City, during the July, 2022 "Great Western Steam-Up" event. The Engineer this afternoon is none other than Eureka's owner, Dan Markoff of Las Vegas, NV. On the tail end of the train is another, precious historic piece in the form of Southern Pacific Combine/Caboose #401, kindly loaned for the event by the Laws Museum in California.
