By the time this train got to Kenova, WV, the lead unit had run out of fuel. The GE was not doing very well solo. The defect detector reported 436 axels. They were down to 5 - 10 mph! The engineer complained to the dispatcher that this was the second time he got Q303 and one of the units had ran out of fuel.

Always healthy to run a really old locomotive out of fuel. You would not believe all the junk in the bottom of their fuel tanks! ;-)
