I am just glad there isn't a train heading eastbound.

The "signal" is a switch point indicator. At this location a green indication represents the switch being lined for movement to/from the Alliance Subdivision.

Green = Lined for Alliance Sub, Yellow = Lined for Dallas Sub, Red = Stop and inspect switch. This signal does not govern train movements, and therefore nothing is wrong here.
