This isn't an ex-Conrail as you can see by the letters on the nose. This was LMSX 731

It looks like they can't decide who owns this engine. The lease company, IC and CN. Make up your mind!!

I've heard that these units were owned by CR, as leasing units , Locmotive Magement Service (LMS). Some are now owned by the NS

LMS is Locomotive Maintenance Services. It was a leasing firm jointly owned by Conrail and CN. LMS rostered 60 Dash 8 wide cabs, until 20 were renumbered into Conrail's roster. When CR was carved up between CSX and NS in 1999, the LMS was dissolved. One-third of the Dash 8s went to CSX as 7918-7929; CN got 11, renumbering them 2455-2466, and NS pucked up the remaining bunch, nos. 8452-8467. All of the C40s have the distinctive CR design- headlights on the cab; numberboards on the nose.
