your not telling the viewers why the 7117 was renumbered to the 7100.

When I took the photo I thought this was the first NS GP60 of 50 ordered. However, there was no #7100. I do not know when/why #7117 was numbered #7100 but nonetheless it was. I suppose the NS roster now skips from #7116 to #7118.

One source has reveiled, NS 7117 was involved in some kind of collision that killed a crew member. 7117 was rebuilt, but the railroad made some kind of deal with the family members of the passed employee that they would retire the 7117 number since it held such a bad place in that family and railroad's history, therefore, it is now 7100....
