Still can't believe that thing hasn't been painted since when, the late 60's? Me thinks it's going to see the scrapper's torch in Enchantment blue. Nice catch.

Looks like they finally added ditch lights. Can't believe it's still floating around in this paint though.

Ahh, CSXT 4617...
She was built in 1971, painted up with a full coat of C&O Blue... She still wears what's left of it today amazingly. To the Ditch-light Issue, when I was in the cab last (late) summer, during her visit to the Kanawha Valley on a Weed Spray Train, Her "write-up" log was full of complaints of no ditch lights, so, it was bound to happen sometime really. Each time I see a picture of her, she looks more and more tired. Sadly, as much as I hate to admit it, she's bound for the torch one of these days, I'm just glad I got to spend some quality time with her while she was in town.
Great shot Len, Really good lighting Indeed!

How come the last C&O loco is also the last to get ditch lights?! Didn't ditch lights become mandatory over 5 years ago?

I heard earlier this year that she would serve out the remainder of her career doing yard work. I tried to submit a picture of her taken last year in Brunswick MD. but got rejected because of the way she was lashed up. Nice to see that she's stil around.
