Are the scales those short sections where the track bends to the side and then back again? There used to be a track like that here, but I never knew what it was for.

I worked here in the mid to late nineties as a trainmen and an engineer. I always new of the hump from stories of the old head brakeman that worked there. That pic was taken from the selma bridge, looking east, for the most part all of the track's on the right are still there, but the ones on the left are all gone except for three. Unless you dug around you would never know the buildings were even there. The crossover just west of the scales is still there, its used mostly to switch out bad orders from inspection trains that come in.
