Posted by Andrew Hamblyn on March 24, 2016  Hook and Pin "chopper" style couplers. The buffer at this end only has the pin in it, and there will be a hook at the other end. You can see a spare hook hanging on the headstock. In recent years there has been a big push to change to standard AAR style automatic couplers and now the hook+pin style is in the minority.
