Is somebody supposed to sit in that little thing?

I was here in 1984 when this unit was in Chessie colors. [photoid=130991] Since I posted that photo I've been able to discover that this is an electric switcher built by GE in 1917. Most of that superstructure is filled with batteries and it plugs in for recharging (how long it takes and how long it lasts I don't know). It is now at the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, although I don't know if it is being exhiibited yet.

Mr Kitchen as answered the reason I posted here..I had hoped this little rascal was saved..good news to here it has been. I thought it looked old, the big rivets on the front, the old fashioned tanks and whatnot on the roof. Thanks, Mr Massie, for this one!
