So small for a Texas-type! Classic image of a coal railroad!

The engines are well proportioned, but when you look at the crew in the cab, if becomes clear that they are narrow gauge "miniatures" of their standard guage cousins.

But not so small either. Same grate area as a PRR K-4 and hand fired too. Wish they were still running! Gotta find that Way Back machine!

Great!!! Im waiting for these shots! Now.. the members of ABPF museum at Tubarao- SC work on restoration of a Texas, for static display at museum. These Texas, are the big and most powerful steam engines in EFDTC. Along the years .. (the EFDTC has purchase 2-10-2 from Argentine.. from Ferrocarril Belgrano in the mid of 70's because the Oil crisis..) the Santa Fe replaced them. Today, we don't have Texas types in operational conditons... but is my dream, see the Texas working on! beside his great buddies the Santa Fes...
