That track off to the right is one of many abandoned sidings in the park. We have about 15 miles of track we use, and another 10 or so that is abandoned at this time. When the park was built in late 1920's, there were approx. 150 industries and 30 miles of track that the C&NW switched with 3 crews 24 hours a day. We now serve 20 or so industries and are slowly adding more. If you know where to look in the park, there are three CNW 40 foot boxcars, an NYC 50 foot boxcar, and 3 old CRDX cars scattered throughout. We will have a second crew in the coming months. For those of you who enjoy the air horn hobby, that M5, which is mine, does not live on the engine, but was only visiting for the day.
