I don't think they were actually given a complete black paint job; I think they were just patched. You can still see the remnants of the NS decals/logos.

Nice catch..... now if the cab door was yellow to match the handrails and cab numbers, would almost be a revival of the P&LE! "P-Boat" a new nickname for these newly acquired units?

Good catch on that combo and leader! Nice shot also! I have shot the crap out of this'en in Union City ga. over the last two weeks. Not complaining though!
