If the locomotives exhaust doesnt smell like....diesel exhaust is there a problem with the engine or something? Im curious because ive never really smelt the exhaust before.

To a railfan...there is nothing better than the smell of diesel exhaust...this didn't smell right...like something burning...I'm guessing there was something not working the way it was supposed to...
