If i remember back in the days of steam, N&W 611 and ether of her 13 sisters would stop here at prichard for recoaling if they were pulling the Powatan Arrow from Norfolk to Cincinnati. Today the coaling tower survives to see the passing of NS freights like this one and 611 remains in the transportation museum in Roanoke, waiting for the day she will come back to the rails again.
