Waiting for that "perfect" perfect shot is what keeps you coming back, right? Otherwise anyone could get it. Timing, positioning, lighting, framing, background - that's a lot of variables. Good shot, Dave.

Thanks everyone, I almost kicked myself in the butt for not having my wide angle lens on, so I did get lucky. This was one of five shots, the first three the BNSF was blocked by the crossing signal, the last shot has the BNSF centered but the 3rd and 4th UP units, a good picture in itself. I was backpedaling as I was taken these too.

Nice work, Dave. Another interesting variation would have been to shoot the BNSF train as it gets closer with the consist up abov on the UP. Let me tell you, I'd kill for this kind of location here in South Carolina. -- Joe H.
