The sign informs the conductor/switchman to dismount if riding the car due to the close clearance of the fence. You can see "Close Clearance" on the post of the sign. I can't say I've seen this style of sign before, but it is a common theme on industrial sidings.

What would the blue lights indicate? Akin to a blue flag if lit?

The blue light mean that the car is in process of being loaded or the loading ramps are in place from dock to frieght car.

Very true, Terry, 6460 and her slug were looking sharp. I saw the duo on the way to and from Cass. They must run out of Glasgow (?) to switch the mill at Big Island.

I have seen one of the signs before. There is one at Clyffeside on the Kanawha Subdivision (Just east of Ashland, KY).

This is a new style sign that is being used by CSX. I have seen several of them in industrial areas.

WOW that old girl sure does get around and she always has that slug with her. I love the GP30 slug especially when they are up front leading. I wonder if we (ralifans) could convince CSX into repainting some of them in to B&O and C&O paint schemes?
