An incredible picture, just wish I had been stood next to you !!

That is just too sweet!! Nice catch! NS, you watching? Show the stock holders there some revenue service for their money! Retro railroading at it's best.

That cant be real! haha....awesome shot Chris!

I know that is one heck of a hill!!! Did he have help pushing on the rear??? If not, I bet those F's were screaming!!!! GREAT SHOT!

Outstanding and fantastic! How about old smiley there in the window?
Posted by Imprezzed on October 29, 2007
WOW! When I first saw this, I thought it was a garden railway shot....what definition!!!
Posted by David Hawkins on October 29, 2007
I would think this photo would become the next Photo of the Week. Nice work Chris.

It looks like railfan prayers do get answered sometimes! What a fantastic surprise! Thank you Chris for being there.

Great photo and thank you KCS! PCA vote for Chris.

I was a day late and a dollar short! Why couldn't that have come through yesterday, or even better, the day before??? Ugh! lol. I'm glad you caught it though. The Holiday Express comes through Tupelo on my birthday, so I'll be making a 3 day journey out of it. I'm pretty excited!

Superb photo of what's got to be the most beautiful anachronism ever created. Way to go, Mike Haverty!
Posted by Mark Rosnick on October 29, 2007
WOW Chris. What a shot! Those F's look better than NS's, and they're pulling a stack train. Amazing catch
Posted by GEORGE REDMOND on October 29, 2007
What a great shot, thanks for posting it.
Posted by Chris White on October 29, 2007
Thank you all for your kind words. I owe it all to a great railfan friend of mine.
Posted by Ed Mullan on October 29, 2007
I'd be willing to bet this one will make it to the alltime most popular list. It's a good composition, beautiful F units, doing actual revenue work, and even includes a tunnel.
Posted by Dean Kaplan on October 30, 2007
Nice to see these F units pull todays stacks. Awesome shot Chris.
Posted by CaliforniaRailroader on October 30, 2007
Great shot of some beuatiful F units! It reminds me of when UP has had their Challenger pull Stack Trains at the request of APL, quite a contrast but man, so cool!
Posted by railtrekker on October 30, 2007
This is just WRONG! F units and containers! Great shot!
Posted by Tom Mugnano on October 30, 2007
Wow what a great photo Chris. I had no idea the KCS had insufficient power on hand to run there freight ! Very nice surprise and not to be outdone by NS .... This is definitly going to be the shot of the year not to mention that these units are much better looking than the NS version pluse these are actually being used in freight service for photo ops, not just to go golfing every week.
Posted by Sam Davey on October 30, 2007
Great shot.
Posted by Jeff Swanson on October 30, 2007
That looks like a publicity shot except the photographer wasn't hired to take the photo (right, Chris? lol). Fantastic shot. Even the guy on the Brakeman's side seems to be thoroughly enjoying himself. Long live Haverty and his railroad pride!

That is an awesome shot in so many ways. Great location, great composition, great paint scheme and F units! Forget Photo of the Week. It's the Photo ofthe Year!!!

Those are such great colors. Peoples Choice Award vote from me on this one!

After I get my time machine built I'll be sure to stop by Vicksburg, Mississippi on Oct 29th, 2007. Nice catch and cool photo... You get my vote for PC.

WOW! I just love this shot. Great catch Chris.
Posted by MrDan on October 30, 2007
F-units and intermodal, enough to make a model railroader take a second glance. Nice shot of a trio of nice units! We need to thank VIA for retiring their fleet so late for other RRs to snatch up.

F's pulling a freight in 2007? Dreams do come true! And wow, what a scheme! Nice set of shots Chris, the crew is sure having fun, giving thumbs up and smiling for you :). NS should do something like this...

Three gorgeous ladies strutting down a runway of rails, thanks for posting Chris. Now, when will CSX follow suit and come up with there own retro heritage units?
Posted by Joshua Chlapek on October 31, 2007
Fantastic shot! "Southern Belle" F-units with doublestacks...maybe there's some truth to that saying that there's a prototype for everything!
Posted by Loyd Lowry on October 31, 2007
What a wonderful shot! I can only wish some day CSX has the class to do something like this. Thank you for sharing!
Posted by Jason Myers on October 31, 2007
