I'm curious why this station still has what appear to be operative trainorder signals. Are trains still dispatched by timetable and trainorder?

I guess they decided to keep the signal when they renovated the station some years ago. Inside the station, they have only a VIA Rail agent at the ticket office, at train time. This train is making 3 return trips a week between Montreal and Senneterre, up the line one day, and down the following day, with no trains on Saturday
