Is that wooden overhead poles that I see? Looks quite out of place - interesting to see that wooden poles are still in use in Kiwiland! Over in Australia they are found in only about 2 places. Great rainy photo.

Thanks for the comments... what you can see is wet concrete poles holding up the overhead. Does look like wood now you mention it. Much of the Wellington suburban 1500vDC electrification is suspended by wooden poles though. Cheers Andrew
